He was the commander and cheif of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War and then after he became the President of the United States of America. He served as President from 1781-1799. He died from a throat infection. -

He was in congress when he was 33 and drafted the Declaration of Independence. He was President from 1801-1809. -

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President. 1861-1865
Lincoln grew up on a farm and tried to learn while working. He never let the world forget the Civil war and issued the Emancipation Proclamation which stated that "forever free those slaves within the Confederacy." -
Ulysses S. Grant
Ulysses S. Grant was President from 1869-1877
He was the son of an Ohio Tanner. He was recruted to lead a pack of unruly volunteer soldiers in the Civil war, and by September of 1861 he was the general of the volunteer soldiers. Ulysses S. Grant was the symbol for Union victory for the Civil War and thats why he became president. -
Theodore Roosevelt
Thoedore Roosevelt served as President from 1901-1909
He was the youngest President at 43. During the Spanish American war he was a Lieutenant colonel of the Rough Rider Regiment and led them in the charge of San Juan. He won the nobel peace prize for mediating a meeting the Russo-Japanese War. after resigniing in 1909 he went to Africa. he came back and started compaigning but was shot in milwaukee but recovered and died happy in 1919 -
Franklin D. Roosevelt
Franklin Roosevelt served from 1933-1945
He was the 5th cousin of Theodore Roosevelt, In 1921 in the summer disaster struck when he was 39 he was stricken with poliomyelitis. He had to be in a wheel chair the rest of his life. Franklin Roosevelt helped this country get over one of our biggest hurdles which was the Great Depression. -
Ronald Reagan
He served as President form 1981-1989
Ronald was an actor and became president because he was the president of the screen actors guild but his views changed from film to politics. He won the election and only 69 days after he tood ofice he was shot by an assasian. But he healed. Ronald was good at dealing with congress and helped Bush win a second term. -
Richard M. Nixon
Richard Nixon served as president from 1969-1974
He successfuly stopped the fighting in Vietnam. During World War II, Nixon served as a Navy lieutenant commander in the Pacific. In his final days Nixon became famous for being an elder statesman. He died on April 22, 1994. He wrote several books about his experiences. -
John F. Kennedy
John F. Kennedy served as president from 1961-1963
He was the youngest president and the youngest to die. Barely passed his first thousand days in office, he was killed by an assasian. He was a democrat. He said the quote "Ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country." -
Barack Obama
He served as President from 2009-
He was the first African American President in U.S. history. He was also the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review. Does a lot of public service.
