  • Second Palmer Raids

    The Palmer raids were the efforts of law enforcement to rid the country of left wing. US Department of Labor who had the responsibilities of deportations and objected disrespect for the legal process.
  • Prohibition

    It was the banning for alcohal consumption in the 20's. Bootlegsion and speakeasy's became very popular at tis point. This is where people would got and try to get into them to drink.
  • The Automobile

    The automobile's were really defined in the 1920's. Every year the automobile industry came out with somethiong new and better. That increased the mass production for automobiles.
  • Traffic light

    William Potts was a police officer from detroit Michigon. He invented the traffic light. He made it with red, green and amber lighting. Then added some light bolbs and wired up to a electric poll. He put them in avenues and in other roads in detroit.
  • Babe Ruth

    He was born on Feb 11 in Baltimore. He started baseball for the Orioles after spotting by Jack Dunn. The was on that team for 5 years till he went to the redsox. Then after winning the world series he was treaded to the yankees in 1921.
  • President Warren G. Harding

    He died of a hartatack. He went to his doctor and the told harding hat he should go lay down, When he layed doen and fell asleep. Harding died from the haratack.
  • Walt Disney first cartoon

    Alice's Wonderland was the first cartoon with sound. It was made in New York. The distributor was M. J. Winkler.
  • The charleston

    It was named after the city charlestion. It was made by the composer/pianist James P. Johnson. It was the first dance on broadway.
  • The Scope Trial

    On this day John Scope was arrested for teaching evolution to a public school. This was illegle to teach in public schools.
  • Bubble gum

    Walter Diemer was an accounter for a fleer chewing gum company in Philadelphia. He came up with many flavors for the gum. From that he became very rich. He was making over a million and a half dollars in a year.
  • Women voting

    The 19th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States granting women the vote is ratified.
  • Black Tuesday

    This was the day the stock market crashed. The reason this happend was because the stock prices were to high and the rich people were borrowing to much money to buy the stock.
