My favorite thing from the 1940s is the fashion trend they had back then. Also the things they did for fun because they were so active and had neat stuff back then. -
WWII
War fought between 1939-1945. It was caused by the German invasion of Poland. During this war Hittler tried to take over the world starting with Europe. The allies- Britain, France, U.S., Soviet Union, China, Canada, Australia, etc. won the war. Germany and Japan suffered a devastating defeat. -
Adolf Hitler
He was the dictator of the Nazi Germany and a soldier in WWI. He believed in making a superior race of pure Germans and he thought this was the only way he could acheive his goal. He also did not like the jews, he sought to destroy them, in which he did kill most of them in Europe. This tremendous harm lasted 15 years -
Fashion And Fads
In the 1940's the styles were very different. Ladies had curly hair and wore Full Skirts, Blouse, and Low- Heeled Shoes. Men wore Zoot Suits. Sweaters were also a popular fashion during this time period. -
Famous People
Jackie Robinson was a famous person in the 1940's, he was the first African American to play Professional Major League baseball. He also played for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. There was also Theodore Roosevelt who ran for president and became very famous after he won the election.
