    In 1953, Winston Churchill was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. The reason was "for his mastery of historical and biographical descriptions as well as for brilliant oratory in defending exalted human values.". Churchill wrote many books that contributed to this award being achieved, including; a biography of the Duke of Marlborough, The Story of The Malakand Field Force, The River War, a biography of his father, and many more books.
