  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    This was the first battle and was the spark to the American Revolution.
    People: British, French, and Native Americans
    2 Important facts:
    1. Battle/War lasted for 9 years but was known for the seven year war.
    2. British won the war.
  • Treaty of Paris 1763

    Treaty of Paris 1763
    Sparked the American Revolution because France didn’t agree with what the treaty had said, and had got nothing out of it.
    Important people: Great Britain, France, and Spain
    2 Important facts:
    1. Ended the war
    2. Spain and Great Britain took control of almost all the land. Leaving French with nothing.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    This lead to the American Revolution because after British got control over the natives and the people leaving in the 13 colonies they didn’t agree with what laws they had made. (Not being able to cross the west line)
    Important people: British, & King George 3

    1. Wouldn't let people go west of the line
    2. They put in laws they had to follow
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Lead: This lead to the American Revolutionary because people didn’t like the idea of taxation on sugar.
    2 Important people: British, and 13 colonies
    2 Important facts:
    1. First Taxation Act.
    2. The Sugar Act was proposed by Prime Minister George Grenville (Parliament passed it.)
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This lead to the American Revolutionary because people didn’t like the idea of having to have a stamp of every important document.
    Important People: British, and American Coloniest
    2 Important Facts:
    1. Every document had to have a stamp
    2. On March 22, 1765 the British Parliament passed the Stamp Act. This law became effective on November 1st of 1765.

    Quartering Act
    This lead to the American Revolutionary because it gave provision and housing for the British soilder who was sent by their government for the paying back of the tea party.

    Facts:
    1, Was put in place because the people in Mass. didn’t wanna play for the tea that they threw overboard.
    2. British people well soldiers could stay in there house.

    This lead to the American Revolutionary because Britsh rights blinded the colonies.

    Important facts:
    1. was the change and lessening the sugar act
    2. accompanied the repeal of the stamp Act.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    This lead to the American Revolutionary because poeple started to protest against what the British was doing.
    Important people: British Government and Colonies
    Facts:
    1. The Townshend Acts were named after Charles Townshend, the British Chancellor of the Exchequer (Treasurer), and the taxes were imposed on glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea.
    These taxes were imposed on the colonists in the 13 colonies in America. none of the colonies was happy so decide to not follow the acts.
  • Boston Massacre

    This lead to the American Revolutionary because the british soldiers had killed 5 people and injured 6 people was not very happy.

    Important facts
    1. British killed 5 injured 6
    2. line fight (lined up in straight lines) and happened in the middle of the street.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    This lead to the American Revolutionary because the people in Mass. was not very happy with the taxation of tea. A big ship had came in and had threw millions of dollars worth of tea out of it. British and company wasn’t very happy.

    Important facts:
    1. George Washington condemned the Boston Tea Party.
    2. Tea party took place of night and dressed up so they wouldn’t know they did it.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    cause people who didn’t agree with the laws. They had dumped all the tea overboard of the boat into the water. They had put this act in so that people could pay the debt back that they owed to the people (Punished the people). Closing the ports to trade.
    Important people: British Parliament, and Mass. People
    2 Important Facts:
    1.They were called the Coercive Acts in Great Britain. They are also sometimes referred to as the Punitive Acts.
    2. This was supposed to teach them a lesson.
  • 1st Continental Congress

    1st Continental Congress
    This lead to the American Revolutionary because they had made the meeting about resisting the laws that British had made.
    Important people: (colonies) George washington and John adams
    Important facts:
    1. The First Continental Congress convened in Philadelphia's Carpenters Hall on September 5, 1774.
    2. Each of the thirteen colonies sent delegates except Georgia.

    This lead to the American Revolutionary because this was another spark to the war. Wanted to be free,

    1. The battle was located in Charlestown, Mass.
    2. About 341 men died in the battle.

    This lead to the American Revolutionary because Britain didn’t agree to it and they didn’t wanna give in.

    1. Was supposed to prevent more conflict
    2. Wasn’t supposed to lead to a war

    This lead to the American Revolutionary because inspired 13 colonies to go to war with Britain get freedom.
    Important people: Thomas Paine, and 13 colonies
    Important facts:
    1. It was a book.
    2. Got 13 colonies to fight for what they wanted/ deserved.

    This lead to the American Revolutionary because it gave a spark to keep fighting because we will beat them and get freedom soon,

    2. One of the Largest battles in the South and British Won.

    2. Washington and the Continental army narrowly escaped total destruction in the New York campaign of 1776

    This lead to the American Revolutionary because it was the ending of the British giving up.

    1, The main leader for the British was General John Burgoyne. The Americans were led by Major General Horatio Gates as well as Generals Benedict Arnold and Benjamin Lincoln.

    2. No way to enforce the laws passed by Congress

    This lead to the American Revolutionary because last major battle of american Revolution.
    Important people: British (Charles Cornwallis) and American Colonies
    Important facts:
    1. British surrendered
    2. French helped us win

    This lead to the American Revolutionary by ending it.
    Important people: John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin
    Important facts:
    1. John Adams and Benjamin Franklin wrote the Treaty of Paris 1783
    2. The beginning of the treaty says that it is to "secure to both perpetual peace and harmony"
  • Virginian Resolution

    This lead to the American Revolutionary because they made this to protest against Alien and Sedition Acts passed by congress.
    2 Important people: James Madison, & Thomas Jefferson
    2 Important Facts:
    1. There was also one in Kentucky.
    2. This was supposed to stop the Alien and Sedition Act.
