    Electricity was on people's minds in the 1740s in United States, but not was how are today. People used electricity for magic tricks by creating sparks and shocks. Scientists conducted experiments with electricity, but scientific thinking about electricity had not changed much in hundreds of years. Electricity wasn't "useful" yet.

This event was how we were tired to be under the Britain law and that they didn't take take us seriously. Today, thanks to this revolution we were able to show ourselves that we are strong and that we are enough to make our own country.

    The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliament on March 22, 1765. The new tax was imposed on all American colonists and required them to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used. All the people need to pay for the piece of printed and this is important because we learn about that need to pay for printed.The money collected by the Stamp Act was to be used to help pay the costs of defending and protecting the American frontier near the Appalachian Mountains.

    Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo
    In 1846, there was big tension between the U.S and Mexico. This tension ended with a treat, in which Mexico decided to give a big part of his territory to the U.S; in exchange of 15 million dollars. Because part of the economy depends on the west side of the country, this event is too important. If we wouldn't have this part of the country, the economy would be too weak. Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, gave a big step for the U.S, to become strong and rich country.

    During 1861 to 1865, the Civil War remained in the U.S. The North and South had different thoughts about the slaves. The north wanted to give them total freedom, while the south did not. This made a confrontation between both sides. On May 9, 1865,the North side finally won. If this war would have never happened, probably slavery would still existing today and some African Americas would not have totally freedom at all.

One of the reason of the American Civil War and how the North and the South fought to each other. This proclamation let slaves to be free and escape from their owners. After this, African Americans started to work, to get union lines, etc. The emancipation proclamation of Abraham, was the beginning for the slaves to finally be free.

    During War World I, the U.S wanted to keep the country neutral; they don't wanted to be involved on the war. However, this changed when Germany attacked and sinked the famous ocean cruiser, the Lusitania. A lot of Americans were aboard the ship; people who eventually died. This made the U.S declared war to Germany. Because the U.S made the allies won the war, the rest of the world saw the U.S as a strong country. In both WWI and WWII, thanks to the U.S, the enemies failed the war.

For the U.S, this event was important because we showed to the Soviet Union that we were not going to give up.

Because many people were abusing and ignoring this, the Voting Rights Act were signed. In this document, people votes were protected by the government. If this act would have been never signed, African Americans would not be able to vote today.
