School life
Though his parents and private tutors provided him every sort of education, Franlin D. Roosevelt (FDR) attended Groton preparatory school from 1896-1900 in Massachusetts. From 1900-1903, he recceived his B.A degree in history from Harvard University. Later, at New York's Columbia University, he studied law. Massachusetts, and received a BA degree in history from Harvard in only three years (1900-03) -
Marraied life
By the year of 1905, FDR got married with Anna Eleanor Roosevelt who was the niece of President Theodore Roosevelt. The couple had six children are Anna Eleanor, James, Franklin Delano Jr., Elliott, Franklin Delano Jr., John Aspinwall. -
Political Career
He started his political career in 1910. He was elected to the New York State Senate as a Democrat from his traditionally Republican home district. -
State senate
Reelected to the State Senate and supported Woodrow Wilson's candidacy at the Democratic National Convention. -
Assistant Secretary of Navy
As FDR supported Woodrow, Woodrow rewarded Franklin by making him Assistant Secretary of Navy and he hold that position till 1920. -
Reback to the political system
After getting cured from polio, he returned back to political system and nominated for presidential post at the Democratic National Convention. -

FDR was elected as a Governor of New York State. -
President
Nominated as President from Democratic Party candidate and defeated Hoover by seven million votes. -
100 Days of Work
By the year of 1933, he announced 100 days of employment where he gave the opportunity to young people to get job. He established agencies such as the Agricultural Adjustment Administration & Civilian Conservation Corps aimed at bringing about economic relief recovery & reform. -

The Day of Infamy
As Japan attacked the Pearl harbor, the next day FDR delivers his "day of infamy" speech before Congress and asks for a formal declaration of war against Germany. -
The Declaration of the United Nations
He set up "grand alliance" of Allied powers through "the Declaration of the United Nations". -
Elected President
He elected fourth time as a President. -
Last day of his life
FDR passes away at Warm Springs, Georgia. He is buried in the Rose Garden of his estate at Hyde Park, New York.
