Tory Hubbard's Timeline

  • Born

  • ADHD

In fourth grade my parents had enough of me struggling and took me to get testing for learning disabilities. I got the results back and I had ADHD, this helped me so much throughout school because I received a 504 plan and received the help I needed to succeed.
  • Parents Seperation

This was a very hard time for me, I struggled with wanting to go to school and with feeling like my family had a lot of issues. My parents were only separated for 3 months and got back together. Today my parents are still married and celebrating their 35 year anniversary this summer.
  • Drivers License

This was one of the most exciting moments for me. As the youngest of four kids I got to watch all my siblings drive around and have so much freedom. My license was a sign of freedom and growing up to me.
  • Tanzania

In my junior year summer I got the chance of a lifetime to go to Tanzania Africa and teach young girls and boys about agriculture and learn about their style of living. This trip opened the world up to me and showed me what all was out there that I had been missing.
  • High School Graduation

I did not think this day would come! I struggled a lot in high school and it was exciting to know that it was over and I could start the next chapter in life.
  • Phi Theta Kappa

I got accepted into PTK which is an honor society at HCC. After struggling so much in high school it was very exciting to be offered the opportunity to join because of my academic success.
