My birth
I was born on January 26th, 2000 at 10:28 PM, to Robert and Cathleen Blackwood. With predetermined difficulties, I was born in the NICU in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. With the conditions of my birth, I have always been interested in joining the medical field.
I had an older brother at birth named Thomas, whom is three years older than me. Our ethnic background is a healthy mix, but most predominantly Irish, English, and Chickasaw Indian. -

Sophia's birth
Sophia was born on July 7th, 2003. She was over 10 pounds and immediately, my brother teamed up with her against me. -
First day of kindergarten
I was in Mrs. Crisafulli's class and I had trouble making friends. But I tried my best and met a couple of great people I am still friends with today. -
Moving halfway across the counrty
When I was 7, my dad got relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma (his hometown). We packed up midway through the school year and traversed the two day road trip. When we arrived, I met the other side of my family I never knew existed. -

Offical Lacey Co-Ed cheerleader
This was the most important day of my high school athletic career. I had been working towards this goal since I was 6 and I had officially became a varsity athlete while I was still in middle school. Here I made new friends aged 14 to 19 and got thrown up 20 feet in the air. -
First day of college
As an official pirate, I will begin my life long dream of become a nurse at Seton Hall University. -
Graduating high school
This is the day we have all been waiting for! Finally, this day is almost here. I am so excited because I get to finally fulfill my college and life dreams starting this upcoming Summer. -

As of May 2022, I will officially be a nurse! I am starting my first official job from an internship at Holy Family Hospital. I am a labor and delivery room nurse who specializes in neonatal deliveries. -
Getting hitched!
On this day, I got engaged to my MLB husband! We met in NYC after work and hit it out of the park. We got married on the beach at sunset, surrounded by family and very close friends. The wedding colors are a pastel yellow and a light grey. -

Today is the day where I get married. My fiance Chris and I got married on the beach at sunset. We were surrounded by close friends and family. Our wedding colors were pastel yellow and a light grey. Our honeymoon is going to New Zealand and traveling. -

First born
Today at 10:28 am, my first born son came into the word. He was 8 pounds and 6 ounces. My husband and I named him Aaron James. -
Gotcha Day!
My husband Chris and I decided to add to our family, we are adopting a child from an adoption agency. We decided to be randomly assigned to a child, we are excited for a new addition to our family. Her name is Alicia and she is beautiful and bubbly. -
Aaron's first day of Kindergarten
Aaron starts his first day of kindergarten classes at age 5. He loves learning to read and singing the alphabet. Next to go, is our adopted child. -

Alicia's first day of kindergarten
Today is our adopted daughters first day of kindergarten. She will start at the same school as Aaron did. But, unlike Aaron, she likes to learn more about shapes and counting. -
Job Promotion
This year I received a job promotion to head Nurse Practitioner of the Labor and Delivery unit at New York Presbyterian. This means I will get an increase in salary and can choose my own hours! -
Aaron's Graduation
Today, my first child Aaron James has graduated high school and will move on to secondary education. He is studying business and marketing at the University of Delaware. -

Alicia's high school graduation
My daughter Alicia has graduated high school! We are fully supportive no matter what. Alicia is studying biology with a focus in forensic science at Virginia Tech University. -
Aaron's wedding
Today my son married his high school sweetheart Janelle. They had met at a high school baseball game and have been together for 8 years. He proposed on their anniversary over a fancy dinner. The color scheme was navy and silver. -
Atlanta here I come
During the month of April I got a job relocation to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Eaglestown. I am still the head of the Labor and Delivery Unit, but relocating was a tough decision especially for our family. -

Alicia's wedding
My daughter Alicia got married today. Both of my children have joined another family as well as extend ours. She married a wonderful young man that she met in her junior year of college. His name is Sean and he compliments her very well. Their wedding was in a beautiful cathedral near Virginia Tech. The wedding colors were orange and grey like their alumnus institute where they met. -
I become a grandparent
Aaron and his wife Janelle gave birth to their first child Lana Rose. She was a premature baby so she was under 5 pounds, but she was healthy and had no birth complications. -
Birth to twins!
Today, my daughter Alicia gave birth to two healthy twins in Virginia today. They are identical twins and their names are Brody and Michael. They were born 12 minutes apart and were both over 7 pounds. -
Retirement
Unfortunately, today I had to retire my job as a labor and delivery room nurse practitioner. I never wanted it to end, but I was forced to. My time has come to pass my job to another young and energetic person. After working hard all of my life, I have been really great with my money and I have saved up for my long life ahead. I am ready to relax and explore the world with my husband Chris. -

(Old) world travelers
Today, my husband Chris and I set out on our world traveling adventure. We are traveling Europe for a month. We are making stops in England, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, and Switzerland. Who knows, we may even have extra time to pop into some other countries! -
Lumbar herniated disc
Bad health comes with old age! Because of the sciatica I developed junior year of high school, along with my scoliosis I have had since the third grade, my sciatic lumbar disc had been tweaked and moved out of its spot. This has led to nerve pain in my back to the point where I cannot walk. All I can do now is to complete my physical therapy and take care of myself. -

Travel one last time
With our lives coming to an end, we will never know when our last chance to see more of the world will be. That is why Chris and I decided to travel one last time! This time we traveled to Asia for 2 weeks. We stopped in Japan, Vietnam, and Phuket. We know this will be our last adventure together but we made the most of it. -
My first great grandchild
My grandson Brody and his wife Tiffany had their first child today. They gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Lily. She was 8 pounds 2 ounces and has the brightest pink cheeks I've ever seen. -
My death
Today is the day that I passed over. I had no complications at all besides my nerve pain in my back. I got lucky, I had no cancers or terminal illnesses. I passed over in my sleep, peacefully. I had my dream job, my dream husband, a beautiful family, and I traveled the world adventurously. I lived an amazingly fulfilling life. Here is a letter I want to be read at my funeral:
