Kuhn, was an enthusiast of mathematics when he was in high school. It was no surprise during his time at Harvard he decided to major in Physics. Kuhn earned his Bachelors in Physics then later earned his Masters Degree and PhD in Physics by 1949. The following year he switch his major from physics to history and philosophy. -

Kuhn was offered a professorship at Berkley. This is where he began to write his book "The Scientific Structure of Scientific Revolutions." -
The Structure of Scientific Revolutions
Thomas Kuhn published his first book knowing his views wouldn’t be accepted so easily. Throughout many years scientist has debated his theory on scientific revolutions. His belief that science operated on periodic revolutions shifted the notion of science developing gradually or in a linear pattern. This revolution he mentioned was known as the “paradigm shift.” Kuhn believed the paradigm shift was the shift from an old theory to a new better proven. -
