Mateo Death-Cast call
Shortly after midnight Mateo (18y/o male) gets his Death-Cast call. (12:22 A.M) -
Rufus and Mateo meet
They both download the Last Friend app that leads to them meeting around 3 A.M. -
Mateo Says Goodbyes
Mateo's father is in a coma in the hospital and he goes to say goodbye to him because there is a very low chance he wont wake up before he dies. Mateo also goes to secretly say goodbye to his best friend Lidia. -
Rufus and Mateo go to Make-A-Moment
The boys go to a place where they can "Make-A-Moment" together without any risk of dying. They choose to sky dive. (It's like virtual reality) -
Mateo says Bye (again)
They go on a train so Mateo can go say goodbye to his mom one last time at her grave. -
Rufus and Mateo Almost Die
They go to a bookstore for fun and a bomb, that was made by another person who got the Death-Cast call, goes off and it almost causes them to die but they manage to survive. -
Rufus Faces his Top Fear
After reconnecting with Lidia they all go to a World Travel Arena where people who are dying (and other guests like Lidia) can go to see everywhere around the world. While in the rainforest bit Mateo decides to be brave and do a drop into a pool of water they have as an attraction. Rufus is hesitant to go with Mateo because his family died drowning but he faces his fears and does it. -
The Nightclub
Mateo kisses Rufus after Mateo faces his fears of singing in front of a crowd in a nightclub. Rufus also reconnects with his friends after he had to run away from the police because he beat someone. -
Rufus Death-Cast Call
After Mateo, Rufus (17 y/o male) gets his call while he is beating his ex-girlfriends new boyfriend and he later calls the police on Rufus. (1:05 A.M) -
Another Almost-Death
While they are all enjoying their time at the club they are met by Peck, the guy Rufus was beating up before he got the call, and his crew and they are there to kill Rufus. They end up failing and Mateo and Rufus run away. -
Mateo's Accident
They end up going to Mateo's house to hide and just rest and they end up falling asleep. Mateo wakes up and forgets his stove doesn't work which causes a fire when he tries to make some tea and he passes away. -
Rufus's Goodbye / The End
Rufus wakes up to smoke and realizes that Mateo is in trouble but he's too late. As his final goodbye to Mateo he goes to visit Mateo's father since that's what Mateo wanted to do. After doing so he leaves to the park where he is, inferred to be, hit by a car.
