    The Black Death killed many people. This happened in October of 1347. It killed about 1/3 of the European population. Over 25 million people were killed in 5 years. There is actually a nursery ryme about it, called "Ring Around The Rosey". Some people believed that this was a punishment from god. Importance: In this event it affected how people would feel about our health.

    Bartolomeu Dia was a student of Prince Henry's school. He beleived that he could reach India by sailing around the tip of Africa. In 1487 he led an expidition to reach India. But he only made it to South Africa. Importance: This event was important because he discovered more land for us.

    King Henry's first marriage was Catherine of Aragon. (A Spanish Catholic Princess) Their marriage was an arraganged marriage. King Henry really wanted a boy so that he could pass the throne. So Catherine gets pregnant and has a miscarrage. Then she gets pregnant and has a boy, but then he dies 52 days later. Importance: It affected who was going to be the queen of England.

    Anne Boleyn got beheaded on May 19, 1536. She was beheaded because Henry thought she was cheating on him. So henry took her to court and got her beheaded. Importance: Anne had a daughter named Elizabeth and when Anne died Elizabeth took her place as queen and was a great queen.
