Stalin was born into a poor family; his mother was a house keep who was desperate for work. He was born in the town of Gori. Gori today is in present-day Georgia. His mother gave birth to 3 sons but 2 died when being delivered. -

Stalin pushed for more rapid industrialization and central control of the economy, contravening Lenin's New Economic Policy. -

Thier was no worse famine than that of the one in 1931. It was not that the corp didnt work, but the huge demand of the state. Left many without food. 5 million peasants perished under hunger. -

Stalin took up a deal with Hitler, that no one can attack each other. They even work togheter in the invasion of Poland. If Stalin only knew that Hitler would back stab him. Stalin almost lost his country to German rule if it wasnt for his brave soldiers. -

After world war 2 Stalin started sending many of russian ciztens to work camps. It is esitmated that he sent 3.3 million poeple. Up to 43 percent of the population is said to have died. -
Final Victory over Nazi Germany
German was about to fall. They were out numbered from all sides. The Germans only had 1.6 million troops against the massive russian army with 6.4 million barely trained troops. -

Death of a Tyrant
Stalin was returning from dinner and a movie before he went to bed. When morning came the guards found it wierd that he did not wake up at his normal time. At 10pm a doctor came to check on the old man. When they found him he was found with stall urine on him. The doctor knew Stalin had a stroke, and 4 days later he died.
