Pi establishes his nickname as "Pi"
During Pi's first day at school, he tells everyone that his name is Pi since no one could pronounce Piscine. Every one started calling him "3.14" because his name was the same as the mathematical pi. -
Pi is shown how dangerous tigers are
Pi's father takes him and his brother Ravi to wittness how dangerous tigers ca be. He leads a goat into his cage and they watch first hand how ferocious they can become. -
Pi becomes a follower of Christianity, Hinduism, and the Islamic faith
Pi is informed of the stories and tales of each religion. He finds finds himself interested in joining all three religions, so he then was a Hindu, Muslim, and Christain. -
The ship Tsimtsum sank
During a horrible storm a sea, the ship sank leaving Pi stranded at sea with several zoo animals. It sank four days after they left for Canada. -
Pi killed his first living creature
In order to survive, Pi had to kill a fish and eat it. It was a milestone for him because that was the first living being he ever killed. -
Pi teaches you how to tame a tiger
Pi attempts to tame Richard Parker through the steps that he tells you to do. He fails at doing it several times but conitnues to provoke him. The only protection he had was a turtle shell being used as a shield. -
Pi encounters aother stranded sea surviver
Pi encounters another surviver lost at sea. After they talk ab bit, the other guy ends up on Pi's boat and tried to kill him until Richard Parker saved him. -
Pi encounters a carnivorous island
Pi comes across an island that seems to become really acidic during night time. He discovered that another person once lived here before until he died. He assumed that his body was disolved by the acidic algae. -
Pi survives to see land once again.
Pi and Richard Parker arrive at Mexico on February 18, 1978. Richard Parker ran into the jungle directly after they arrive. Pi was taken in by mexicans and provided food, care, and clothes.
