Officialy he was just an accountant, his leader was Narvez, but he was really the leader when it came to acually exploring. he was not a conquistador in the least. He was friendly toward the indians and he wasnt looking for gold, he just wanted to survive. -

Coronado's Trip
In 1939 Cornado and Fray Marcos set out for Texas and the fabled 7 cities of gold. after traveling harsh terrain and encounters with hostile indians, they find...... nothing. Fray was wrong and when Coronado found out the golden city was just a small wichita adobe indian village, he killed 125 by burning them alive. The Turk took them to Quivera and again they were dissapointed and coronado strangled The Turk. The whole mission was a bust. -

Moscoso's expedition
The leader of Moscoso's expedition was De Soto. A man so cruel that he would dismember indians limb by limb if they disobeyed him. they went to survey land and make sure Coronado's account of Texas was true. They came back and said the same thing as Coronado, do not go there. This stopped almost all major expeditions into texas from Spain
