Pineda mapped out the Texas coast, he mapped out 800 miles of the coast. He was credited to be the first European to travel the coast. His importance was he inspired futrther exportation. -

Cortes discovered Mexico. He conquered the Aztecs. If Cortes did not discover Mexico there would Be no Mexico City. There he found endless riches and one city of gold. -

De Vaca Voyage
Da Vaca was in search of gold in Florida but was not a true conquistador . Got left behind on the sail back to Cuba. His leader Narvez decided to make boats and paddle over to Cuba. There was a storm that pushed them off to Galveston. -

They met the Karankawas when they were starving on all fours so, they gave them of them food, water and shelter. De Vaca and Esteban live with the Karankawas for four years. De Vaca was made medicine man because if doing the first known surgery in America and he got women and many riches. -

Fray Marcus and Estevan
Fray Marcus and Estevan went to America in search of gold. Estevan demanded women from the native tribes and the last sight of Estevan was him running from the indians that were shooting arrows at him. Fray Marcus had a very rough time in Texas. He reported that Texas had no gold and mean indians. -

He was in search of the city of Cibola a city of gold bigger than Mexico CIty but was a fake. Turk led Coranado to Quivera. Coranad made Turk dig his own grave then he kiled him. He found the Palo Duro Canyon and The Grand Canyon. He also backed up Fray Marcus about Texas. -

Moscoso
Moscoso was originally in Hernando De Soto's expodition. They were exploring La-Florida for gold and riches. De soto died from a feaver at the Misssippi. Moscoso was very cruel to Indians he cut off their feet and hand, streatched them and burned them alive. He dicovered the Missipi river.
