Columbus' First Voyage
He went to look for riches and a new water route to Asia,he found the Americas instead(New world). This first voyage was important to us because he didn't only find a "new world", but he also sparked the sense for exploration. -

Cortes Voyage
On his voyage he went and conquered the Aztecs and its empire(Mexico).This was important because on his expedition he discovered TONS of gold and not only but he inspired others to explore land for gold. -

Pineda's voyage
He went on this expedition to explore the coast more and came back with a map he created from the coast. He is important because he was the first one to set foot on Texas. -

DeVaca Voyage part 1 start day
Originally Narvaes was the leader of the expedition. The purpose of this trip was to claim and explore the lands of Florida to Mexico(along the coast). -

DeVaca discovers Texas
DeVaca and some other survivors crash landed on the Galveston coast. Apparently they were there for about 8 years where they spent time with the Karankwa, Coahuiltecans, and the Jumano. -

Fray Marcos and Esteban Journey
they were sent to explore the land up north of Texas and see the 7 cities of gold. Esteban was killed during the trip by the Zuni indians. Fray Marcos then reported that he saw the 7 cities of gold with his own eyes. -

Coronado's expedition
Turk was sent to distract Coronado out of the Zuni tribe which after all, Turk died because he was found lying about the city of gold. He discovered that the 7 cities of gold were a myth, he then reported that Texas was poor in land and in gold which startled Spain. -

Moscoso' Expedition
De Soto was the current leader at first but then died out of a fever. He reported the same thing that Coronado said "harsh land bad indians".
