Colombus's 1st Voyage
Colombus goes on an exploration to find a faster route to Cathay/Asia/India. He ends up finding the New World, but never realises it in his lifetime. Since land is power and there is unclaimed land, countries will flock to the New World. He also brought back valuables to Spain. -

Pineda's Voyage
Pineda sails along the Gulf coast from Florida to Texas and makes the first map of this region. Later, other explorers will explore the coast and the mapped area. -

Cortes' Voyage
Cortes sailed to modern day Mexico and conquered the Azrecs there. He was able to plunder 99 tons of gold! This made everyone want to go to the New World. -

De Vaca's First Landing
The original leader of the expidition was Narvez and they were to find gold. De Vaca was only an accountant. -

De Vaca In Texas
De Vaca and crew were shipwrecked on Galveston and were being tended to by the Karankawas for 4 years. De Vaca meets up with a slave by the name of Estevancio and explore central/west Texas. They heard rumors of Seven Cities of gold while traveling. -

Fray Marcos & Esteban
Fray Marcos, 300 Indians, and Esteban explore Texas, starting from Mexico City and moving north. Later in the expidition, some of the guides report seeing one of the Seven Cities of Cibola. Esteban was killed when demanding food and women from the "city". Fray Marcos climbs a hill and reports seeing buildings sparkle gold in the sun. More people want to explore, and Coronado is sent to check out this find. -

Moscoso & DeSoto's Journey
Since nobody had explored Pineda's map yet, DeSoto and crew explore from Florida to Texas. Desoto was though to be god among the Indiains, so when he died Moscoso dumped his body in the Mississippi. AFter that, Moscoso explores east Texas. Moscoso gives a crudy report about Texas, and along with Coronado to back him up, Texas is left untouched for 150 years. -

Coronado's Journey
Coronado is sent to search for the city of gold Fray Marcos reported, but it was a fake. In the end, he burns 125 Indians alive and is distracted by a man called "The Turk". With The Turk, Coronado goes on a long travel through 5 different states including the panhandle searching for Quivera, a city supposedly run by Amazon women and everything was made of gold. Surprise surprise, Quivera is just another Indian village. He returns to Mexico a failure. No-one goes to Texas for 150 years.
