Yuri Gagarin was in the Vostok 1 mission. He was also the first man ever to travel in to space. He has won many awards such as “Hero of the Soviet Union”. He Became an international celebrity because of his mission. He then became the deputy training director for the cosmonaut training center. -
Alan Shepard
Alan Shepard was the second man in space. He commanded the Apollo 14 mission. He was also the first American to travel into space. later he was the fifth person on the moon. He then became the chief of the astronaut office after his missions. He worked for the navy and retired in 1974. He also did the first manned flight to mercury. -
Vladimír Remek
He flew in the Soyuz 28 mission. After his cosmonaut career he did politics and is now a Politian. He was considered the first astronaut from the European Union. He also used to be a military pilot before his mission to space. Since 2014 he has been the Czech ambassador to Russia. -
Mirosław Hermaszewski
He is a retired cosmonaut and polish air force officer.
He was and to this day the only polish national in space.
His mission was the Soviet Soyuz 30.
He is 74 years old now and his other occupation is a pilot. He spent 7 days in space on his mission. -

In 1987 he became the first German national to travel into space. He took part in two missions Soyuz 29 and Soyuz 31. Before he went into space he was a pilot. He was the fifth man to travel into space. His time in space was also 7 days. -

He was a Bulgarian military officer. He was the first Bulgarian Cosmonaut. He took place in Soyuz 33. He spent 1 day in space. His rank was Major General. He was also a pilot. -
Bertalan Farkas
He was the first Hungarian cosmonaut. He is now the president of Airline Service and Trade. He is not the only Hungarian in space but still the first astronaut as the other person was a space tourist. He did missions Soyuz 35 and Soyuz 36. He also spent 7 days in space. -
