The Civil War's main explanation for having this war was slavery. It was fought between the eleven Southern states which tried to secede from the Union and forn the Confederate States of America on one side and the rest of the United States. In the end the Union or the northern states won. Without this war there would still be slavery that s why I find the Civil War important. -
Execution of Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of theUnited States who was shot at a play. The person who killed Lincoln was John Wilkes Booth.I find this important because with this happening everyone had no idea what was going to happen with slavery. It put a lot of people on the edge. -
13th Amendment
The 13th Amendment ended slavery. This is important to me because without it we would still have slavery.
