Riding a bike
The first time I rode a bike it went horribly wrong. I couldn't turn and forgot how to break which led me to crashing into a parked car. I didn't want to continue to learn but eventually i got back on my bike and learned to ride. Even though It took me a while I persevered and learned. -
First baseball game
It was my birthday and my parents surprised me with tickets to a yankees vs red sox's game. I'm a big yankees fan and this would be my first ever game that i go to. As a kid this was a very important because I got to see my favorite players play in a good game. although the Yankees lost the game it is a moment that I will never forget. -
First time going to Dominican Republic
I got to go to the DR to go visit family and I thought it would be very similar to Puerto Rico which i had been to many time before. I was very wrong, It was much hotter for starters and it also wasn't as pretty. The country is very poor and dangerous so It wasn't very fun because there wasn't many things to do that were safe. It was an experience I will never forget and its important because I remember this trip all the time. -
Changing schools
I had been going to a private catholic school before switching to brewster schools in the fifth grade.It wasn't easy because it was very different and I had to make all new friends along with adjusting to the new school. Switching schools was scary at first but i'm glad it happened because i met a lot of my friends that year who are still friends with me to this day. -
Grandmas death
I loved my grandma but she had been struggling with sickness for a couple of years and this time in was particularly bad. A week prior my mom left to be with her and then suddenly me and my brother were on a flight to go see her as my mom knew it was likely our last chance to see her we landed and headed from the airport to the hospital. She passed that day. Christmas has never been the same -
Losing a friend
A couple days before school started one morning I heard the horrible news. My neighbor/friend had passed away from cancer which he had been battling. It came as a surprise because he had seemed fine it almost seem as if he was getting better but unfortunately he passed away right before the school year began. -
Winning trophy on baseball team
Freshman year I played baseball on jv we had a rough year but I played better than expected. In june we have sports awards at school and I went not expecting to win anything but then when our coach was talking about who he was giving awards to my name got called. I won the trophy for having great defense. -
Getting a dog
As a kid growing up I always wanted a dog but my dad would never let us get one. All my cousins have had dogs or pets but for some reason my dad never liked the idea of having one. I don't know why but one day we went looking at dogs and I saw one dog and as soon as I saw her I knew that she was the perfect dog for my family. So we bought her without telling my dad and now I have a new best friend -
Driving
Learning to drive is pretty simple but at first it is tough. It was scary at first mainly because of the people telling me what to do but the more I practiced the easier it became. -
First big baseball tournament
I flew to Georgia to go play in a baseball tournament and it was my first real important tournament that I have played in. There were a lot of college coaches and I performed pretty well. It was a very fun experience and I hope to do it again.
