Three girls named Abigail Williams, Ann Putnam, and Betty Parris started to get "sick" at the same time. They had constant fits and convulsions. The doctor came in and examined them and said they were victims of witchcraft. -
Giles Corey's Trial and Stoning
Giles Corey and his wife Martha Corey were arrested in April of 1692 for witchcraft. He was pressed to death for three days and asked if he was guilty, but he kept denying it. Every time he denied it, they put another stone on top of him. He was the only one who was stoned in the Salem Witch Trials. -
