My goal is to become a better runner by the start of my cross country season which is 9/16/17 and I will do this by training throughout all of summer.

  • Running 6 miles everyday!

Every other day I will run 6 to 8 miles! this will help with my lung expansion and will help me in cross country I will do this until the first official practice!
  • Eating Healthy and Hydrating!

    Eating Healthy and Hydrating!
with this method of training I will need to make sure I eat a lot of protein so my body doesn't start to burn my muscle that I am trying to build. I will also need to drink water so I do not pass out or dehydrate myself as for my body is burning a lot of water for running.
  • Proper Foot Wear

    Proper Foot Wear
Every foot is different and in running shoes can make or break you. So it is important that you have the right type of shoe to support your body. I was running with thin running shoes which didn't help my body so I needed new ones! Running shoes are very expensive ranging from $120.00 to $200.00 so explaining this to my aunt came to a bit of a shock. My uncle propose that if I stacked wood and did some extra chores they would cover my shoes.
  • Buying Proper Foot Wear

    Buying Proper Foot Wear
I worked off the running shoes it took me awhile but I did it! My aunt and uncle agreed to take me to the Sneaker Store which is filled with running specialist who can help me buy the right shoes. So we went and they gave me the several options and I picked a pair of Brooks ghost 10 which are designed for distance running and will support my body and only for the low price $120.00!
  • The Season Starts

    The Season Starts
So the season has started! I will start to back off on my training and let my coach start to control my schedule and will need to take it easy so I can manage school and running CC!
  • The First Race!

    The First Race!
So I had my first race of the season and all the training and hard work paid off! I ran a 19:50 which is an improvement from last year when I was running 21's. This race makes me the fastest on my team and I'm only a sophomore in high school! It just goes without saying hard work pays off!
