The event lasted a very long time and resulted in millions of deaths.
This shows us that we should have freedom of religion and not fight over it.

After King James was overthrown in England the Bill of Rights was introduced to protect citizens rights. This was important because the Parliament took control over the monarchy. This is said to be the idea behind the U.S. Bill of Rights today. Link text -

The event started over the death of Emperor Charles VI. The people didn't want Theresa to take over for her father. This was important because Britain proved their loyalty. Link text -
Stamp Act
This act was a tax for American colonists to pay tax on paper products that they used. This made the American colonists made and the fought and got rid of the act in 1766. This was an important event because this made the colonists think of being freed from the crown which leads to war.

American Revolution
The 13 American colonies was tired of being ruled by the British and wanted to govern themselves. The colonist militia and the British soldiers got into a fight in Lexington. This started the colonists to respond with more militia. This event was important because it gave us our independence and a new country.

Treaty of Paris
The treaty ended the Revolutionary War between the American colonists and the British. The treaty was signed on September 3, 1783, and put an end to the war. This was important event because we became a country of our own.

This was a war where the French citizens fought to change their monarchy system of government. A lot of people died from the war and the king was overthrown. This resulted in the French having a better government for their citizens.

Storming of the Bastile
Parisian troops attacked the Bastille royal castle and correction facility. This event is what lead to the start of the French Revolution that overthrew King Louis XVI. This was important because the people gained their freedom from the bad king.
