Proclamation of 1763
The main objective of this was to have the boundaries set in place and to establish a new line called the proclamation line. This event was important because it set boundaries so that the native americans and the settlers wouldnt burst out in violance. -

There are lots of theories of how it all started but it was basically a huge fight between colonists that were getting off work and the British. The British somehow ended up shooting and killing some of the colonists. This enforced some acts. -

The boston tea party was all about the taxes on tea. So the colonists decided to jump on a ship that was carrying lots of tea and they dumped it all into the boston horbor. This even was significant becasue it lifted the act and because it changed a lot of peoples views on the colonists. -

This battle kicked off the revloutionary war. This battle was over the sieze of John Handcock and Samuel Adams. This battle was important becuase it was one more step towrds helping the colonists get their independance. -
Fort Ticonderoga
This small batte was very important because it was the first american win and because it got them lots of artillery for future use. -
Bunker Hill
This battle was a battle in the revloutionary war. It was important because it made both sides realize that this whole arguement over independence wasn't going to be a quick and easy decision. -
Olive Branch Petition
The Olive Branch Petition was all about the thirteen colonies trying to avoid a full blown war. This was important because the kings rejection allowed some people to rebel. -
Publishing of Common Sense
The publishing of Common Sense was very important in history. It is important because it basically dumbed everything down so that a regular towns person could understand the laws and everything that was "politically" going on. -
Dorchester Heights
This battle was important because it was once again another step towards independence. -
Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was something that was written to tell the british that the colonists were going to fight for themselves and that they want their own freedom. This is important because this broke us apart from the britins control. -

The battle of trenton was about George Washingtons crossing across the river. This battle was important because the victory ment that New Jersey was becoming the colonists land. -
The battle of Princeton
Princeton was a battle over not fighting a different battle. This was important because it gave the colonists confidence about the whole war. -
The battle of Saratoga
This was the turning point of the revloutionary war. The reasoning behind this is that almost 6,000 British and Hessian troops surrendered. Also there were a lot of people have been dead. -
Valley Forge
Valley Forge was a place where the soldiers almost gave up. They were so bloody and tired that they were going to give up. This was important because it shows how "intense" the war was and how difficut it was to not give up. -
Yorktown
George Washington tried to steal Yorktown. There were lots of troups and there ended up being a battle. It was a significant british defeat. -
Treaty of Paris 1783
The Treaty of Paris 1783 was a seires of treatys that were signed in paris that created peace. The significance of the Treaty of Paris 1783 was the fact that it ended the revloutionary war.
