Paul Feyerabend

  • Childhood

    Paul Feyerabend was born on January 13, 1924 in Vienna,Austria.He grew up in a middle class family where his dad paul, was a civil servant and his mom Rosa, was a seamstress.Growing up he was always considered as the weird kid because he was very anti-social and didn’t have many friends.In fact the only people that he would interact with was his family.As he got older he attended Primary and High school were he participated in singing lessons and musicals.
  • Military Service

    Now after high school he was drafted into the German army to fight in the war .During his service he would earn many medals like the Iron cross for example for leading his men into a village while under fire by the enemy.His luck in the war would come to a end because one day while he was on patrol a machine gun out of nowhere started shooting at him and hit him in the spine which made him cripple.Due to that injury his service came to a end
  • Education

    After his service he would then attend Weimar Music Academy in 1945 to studied theater.A couple years later he would then move back to his hometown of Vienna to study Astronomy,mathematics,Physics,History and Sociology at the University Of Vienna.while he was there he earned his doctorate in 1951 in philosophy.
  • Published Books and Death

    In 1975 he published his first book called “Against Method”, that talked about his thesis idea of there is no such thing as a scientific method.In 1994 he published his Autobiography of his life story.
