    During WW II he enlisted in the German Army and was promoted to the officer ranks due to his expertise and heroism. He was shot and had a bullet lodge in his spine that left him temporarily paralyzed.

    After the War

    During this time period he struggled with deciding what to do with his time. He studied entertainment and history but ultimately landed on physics due to his disinterest in the other topics. In August of 1948 he was introduced to Karl Popper. This relationship resulted in his growth as a Philosopher of Science.

    The publication of this book solidified his theory that the scientific method does not exist.
