Election
Ooka was first elected to be the new judge of Edo when he was 35 years old. He is now known as Judge Ooka Tadasuke. -
The Case of the Boundaries
After Ooka had accepted the job as judge, he soon found out that there was a feud between the Yamada and Kishnu farmers about the boundaries of their farms. Ooka knew that the Yamada had the just amount of land, but he was also not a fool. So he knew not to mess with Yoshimune, the lord of the Kishnu. He finally decided to split the land in half between the Yamadas and Kishnus. Yoshimune was impressed by the "rookie's" decision and favored him, now. -
Promotion for Ooka
When Yoshimune became shogun 5 years later, he promoted Judge Ooka over thousands of other candidates. Roles of Judge Ooka now consist of chief of police, judge and jury all combined. -
Other Acomplishments
Ooka had many other famous cases in his life. Some include "The Case of the Stolen Smell" and "The Case of the Suspect Statue". -
Death
Judge Ooka Tadasuke died of old age at the age of 75.
