Mahatma Ghandi was born on October 2,1869. Mahtama Ghandi was the last child of his family. He was considered the father of India because of the Indian independence movement. The Indian independence movement was a protest against the british rule. The british rule was a discrimination to lives in India. He spent 20 years in South Africa to fight discrimination. -

On March 30,1919, World War 1 was coming to an end. Ghandi was going to fight against the British. Ghandi was going to organize a mass hartal (general strike). But he called of the attack. Once Ghandi heard about 300 indians that died and 1,100 or more were injured. -

On January 30,1948, Mahatma Ghandi was assassinated. A person name Godse ran to him and shot him three times. Ghandi survived many assassinations but this one he died. Mahatma Ghandi's is a legend. His name is still remembered by many people. He was a role model to many civil right leaders. Mahatma Ghandi will be remembered as a great leader.
