History of various technological devices that shaped my life

  • Nintendo DS

    Nintendo DS
This was my introduction to a handheld technological device that I frequently interacted with. I would play hours upon hours of Pokemon, Mario Brothers, and various other games to spend my childhood.
  • iPod touch

    iPod touch
This was my first connection to the internet. The DS was more of a personal gaming experience, while the iPod gave me access to the world wide web. I learned about different websites, gained knowledge of many things I haven't seen before, most importantly golf, where I watched highlights of professional golf. This eventually shaped my interests in becoming a competitive golfer.
  • iPhone

    iPhone
Around this time is when I got my first iPhone. Before this, I didn't have a way of communicating with my friends. I actually didn't need it very much due to being more of a loner in my younger days, but it did keep me connected with my parents. I started to use more social media, specifically facebook and twitter, and had many more interactions with people on the web on the go.
  • Macbook Air

Around a year after getting my iPhone, I got my first laptop from my parents. Before this, I always used the home desktop to finish assignments. Entering high school, I needed something more portable to finish my work. There were many hours of hardships finishing assignments on my tiny 11 inch Macbook, but I think of the memories fondly.
  • Desktop setup

    Desktop setup
During high school, me and my friends got into gaming. I was often lagging or was left out of games due to having a slow laptop only able to run Mac OS, while most games were operated on Windows. In 2019 I decided to build my own gaming desktop setup and invested around $1,500 into it. Lots of hard work and saving up to afford it, but I still use it to this day.
