Meeting Allison
It was kindergarten and the first day of school and we had assigned seating. The seating plan was alphabetical order by first name and I saw Allison's name started with A and so did mine so i pointed it out and we've been best friends since. -
Canada Day
It was a swelteringly hot summer day but like still enjoyably hot at the same time. We 9my family) always had this tradition of going to the Forks on Canada for the celebrations and such. I remember it being just a great bonding experience we just rode our bikes around after and got food and enjoyed the Forks together. -
Assiniboine Park
I went to Assiniboine park with my dad and my sister. We had so much fun making fun of the statues and walking around the park. We also went to the Zoo after to see the giant sea eagles and they where beautiful. -
British Columbia
My first trip to British Columbia we took a road trip all the way to Nanaimo. It was really beautiful and crazy to see mountains for the first time. I was so used to kjust flat prairies and seeing the beauty of another province was awesome, -
Softball Catch
I used to play softball for the Southdale team. I was never really good at it i felt like i let the team down a lot. This was one of our last games and i actually made a whole bunch of crazy catches (I was on the field). It made me proud I felt like i got better at the sport. -
Science Fair
I never win many things in my life but i put a lot of work into my science project about the feeding habits of birds. I even sketched pictures of birds. I endd up winning a bronze metal and i felt proud about that. -
Lexy
During a stunning summer day, my sister and I where just relaxing in the yard in our above ground pool. When my dad's familiar black treuck pulls up, he's home from work. He walks into the yard just smiling holding the cutest brown puppy. It was an awesome surprise to end an already great summer day. -
Summer Night
This night always stuck out in my head just because of how much beauty it held. I was at my cabin in Clear Water Bay and I could'nt sleep, it must have been 4am. So i went out to the porch to just see moonlight shining so bright it resembled daylight. Stars reflecting flawlessly over still inky water. Then the wolves came to the beach and they where drinking water and howling at the moon. I love how much hidden beauty the night has, very few people get to see scenes like this. -
When Dad Left
We had just returned from the cabin and things where already tense with my parents. They both sat my sister and me down and said we have to talk and announced they where getting seperated and my dad left that night. My didter was crying. I was sad as much as i was relieved for this to happen already i had already seen it coming. -
First Party
My first highschool party was a Halloween one. It was so much fun being in costumes with my new friends from beliveau there was probably like 12 of us and i knew and was really good friends with all of them. Overall just a really fun night of just laughing and good times we also went trick or treating the next day all of us. -
The Poem
It was English class when I wrote this short story for an assignment. The teacher really really liked it and asked me if she could read it to the class. I agreed if she didn’t say who wrote it and she said she wouldn’t. When she was about halfway through the class started speculating who wrote it and saying it was really good and she admitted it was me and everyone praised me for it. It was embarrassing but I felt good at the same time. -
Skateboarding
This was a great time because it wasnt thought out or planned or anything. It was me, James and Allison and we skateboarded around Saint Boniface all day. We where such great friends just hanging out and talking, adventuring, finding new places around Saint Boniface to skateboard. -
Meeting Jackie
My sister and I where nervous about meeting our dad's girlfriend for the first time. We kept thinking she would be mean and like create distance between us and our dad or something. We went to the restauraunt Hu's on first and got to know her. She turned out to be a really great person so we where happy about that. -
Harry Potter
My mom, my sister and I have always had the tradition of seeing all the Harry Potter movies in theaters together. This was the last one and the movie meant a lot to me because it was so well done and I felt as if i grew up with the characters all my life. -
Falcon Lake Fair
My boyfriend and me where at my cabin in clear water bay and we went to the beach in the morning, tanned and swam. We went up to the cabin to chill watch a movie then my dad and jackie drove us to falcon lake for the fair. We went on a few rides and then it was dark and I remember walking through the trees with the glowing feri’s wheels music drifting through the air and it was just one of those great memorable summer days. Being away from everything just having fun all day long. -
Birds Hill Park
My mom took my sister, her friend and my boyfriend and I to bird's Hill park. We where all friends and I remember playing around in the water with my boyfriend. We also went on this walk after around the paths there. On the way back we fell asleep together and listened to music and got to spend the nigh together as well. -
Blink 182
One of my favorite bands of all time was coming to Winnipeg, Blink 182. I had never been to a concert before but I knew this had to be my first. My boyfriend and I got tickets and we went and it was just wonderful be in the same room as the band, have them right there playing my favorite songs that I knew all the words too. -
Falcon Lake
This was another time at Falcon Lake it was my sister and me. It was probably late spring so nobody was around and we got the tennis courts to ourselves and just goofed around there. We went to the beach and tanned and swam making jokes and taking pictures. Then our dad got us ice cream and fries and we went to the beach again. It was so awesome having the whole place to ourselveas to be ourselves. -
Southdale Fair
In 2012 it was my first time at Southdale Fair and I went there with a bunch of my friends. It was super fun going on all the rides and it was a cool atmosphere of mostly teenagers. There was fireworks to end the night as well. -
West Edmonton Mall
I love shopping a lot so West Emonton mall was really exciting. My sister and me went and spent the whole day there for probably over 7 hours. Our dad gave us money and we got to check out so many stores and take pictures and goof around. -
Pastry Days
Pastry class held many good memories for me. One of them was one of the last days before the holidays and we where having a potluck so everyone brought in great food and we chatted and ate and traded presents. Before that we had to clean up the kitchen which meant a lot of goofing off and talking. Indira, Kiana, Ashtoyn and myself got i trouble so we had to do a gross job of taking out the old containers of moldy icing and such. We ended up having a bit of a foodfight with that.
