Leif visits Norway in 999 ce to bring gifts to the king named Olaf. He and his crewmates get baptised by the king. Leif returned to Greenland in an attempt to convert Greenlanders to christianity, but was soon blown off course and ended up in what we call Newfoundland on the Canadian east coast. -
