Jashmine- My grandma likes to play the radio and whenever I hear a creepy voice, I immediately run out to our house and find my mother and cry. But still, I’m a cry baby even today.
Dianne- I discovered about radio because whenever I woke up, there is this certain device which I got curious with. And I asked my father what it is, he said it is a radio used to spread news or even shares chats. -

Knowing Media
The timeline represents on how we know different kinds of media that are still use by the people nowadays. This also shows on how we first met media into our lives. -
Educational Charts or Materials
Jashmine- I was only four years old when I became a visitor in my sister’s school. I was exposed to the alphabets and numbers but it doesn’t really matter to me because at my young age, I focus my interest on the snack after class. Today, recess is still favorite subject.
Dianne- I discovered educational charts when my mother taught me on alphabets, numbers or even some parts of the body. -
Microphone
Jashmine- Staying in the jukebox stand choosing our favorite song is one of the things we do together with my cousins to bond.
Dianne- There was an activity in the school that involved us the kindergartens, and I was so fascinated by the microphone on how it works that it could made your voice louder so that everyone can hear what the emcee were trying to say. -
DVD and CD
Jashmine- I’ve witnessed about big cd’s. We use it to watch horror films. -
Camera and Television
Dianne- It was when my graduation, where there are lots of photographers on that day and asked my mother what are those people holding and my mother replied “a camera”. And on that day I was so fascinated and got curious of how this type of media works.
On the other hand, I also discovered about the television. I got more addicted to it because it plays my favorite cartoon at all times specifically the Tom and Jerry show. -
Television
Jashmine- Television is one of the media that I and my cousins always watch to spend some time together and to form a strong bond. -
Cellphone
Dianne- I used to borrow my mother’s phone because I got entertained to the games that it has. -
Typewriter
Dianne- When my brother used to type on our typewriter and whenever he got wrong on the letter he typed, he’ll crumpled the paper and start again and again which it made so funny to me. -
Laptop
Dianne- My mother bought a something for my sister who’s going to college. I asked her what was it and she just said that it was a laptop so that my sister would not be burden while doing her tasks there. -
Cellphone
Jashmine- My cousin loves to play games in his keypad. He would let me borrow it and we both enjoyed playing on it. -
Computer
Jashmine- Our ICT teacher taught us how to manipulate computer, he also taught us on how to disassemble and assemble a system unit. In that class, I only learned that the mother board is the main circuit board of the computer.
Dianne- It is when my mother bought a computer so that it could be used to comply the tasks of my brother who’s also in to college but at the same time used for us to be entertained with it. -
Newspaper
Dianne- When my father used to read these at home. I got curious and got surprised that it could cater a lot of news or messages that is wanted to be spread out. And due to my curiosity, I asked my father what he’s holding. -
Laptops and Printers
Jashmine- I knew about laptops when my classmates brought it at tour classroom for educational purposes.
Also this year, I’m exposed to this media because we have a research subject and I have to use a laptop for editing our papers and used printer for printing it. And my paper was qualified for the nationals. Thanks to my favorite research adviser. -
Printers and Projectors
Dianne- I was grade 7 when I first knew that this thing was a printer. It really helped my education at that time to make some copies of my tasks. While I, discovered projectors, when my teacher used this in our class, and it just so fascinating to look at this thing on how did it projects the screen on a laptop. -
Walkie Talkie
Dianne- It was when I went to my bestfriend's house and saw this cute little thing and asked her what is this thing called. Well, the name of this media is very suitable because its name is as cute as how this media works. -
Newspaper
Jashmine- I am not fun of reading newspapers but we were tasked to bring one and read it. Little did I know, our teacher in English wants us to make an editorial essay about the topic presented in the newspaper. -
Photocopier
Dianne- I could still remember that I thought that printers and photocopiers are same but little did I know is that both of them have similarities but they are different to one another. -
Camera
Jashmine- I love to capture memorable sceneries. I also like to take some pictures of myself. -
Bluetooth Earphones
Jashmine- I am curious on how this media works having only one ear to hear a music. I thought that it was quite awkward but when my mother have me one, I’ve realized that while you’re listening to the music you can also listen to the people around you. -
Bluetooth Earphones
Dianne- I used to saw this always on movies but don’t have any guts to question someone of what us this thing, but at this year, I asked my seatmate wearing this one and asked her what is this thing called. Only this year I have known the name of this media.
