Got On the train.
Levi got on the train to go to his fathers army base. -
The white angel
Levi was looking for a seat on the train but no one was letting him sit down because he was black. Then a white lady let him sit by her and treated him very nce. She also gave him her cake that she was going to give to her boyfriend coming home from the war. -
Scared ton death
Levi almost gets shot for nothing. He wanted to buy a pop from the store so he walked in and picked one up and went up to the counter. But the employee picked up a gun and threatend to shoot Levi if he didn't get out. -
Amos Broadway
Levi was scared because he was just almost killed so he ran, and ran, and ran until he had no idea where he was. Then after a while someone was driving by and Levi asked if he could ride with them. So Amos Broadway (the black guy who stoped for Levi) took him to his fathers aarmy base. -
Army camp
Once Levi gets to his dad's army base he looks for him but can't find him. Caleb (a black injured veteren) finds Levi and asked what he was doing. Levi said he was looking for his father so Caleb asked what his name was. After Levi told him Caleb relized that Levi's father was on a secret mission. So Levi went home with Caleb . -
Levi's new family
Levi wakes up in Calebs house and finds out that Caleb and his wife will be taking care of him untill they can find out where his father is. -
MawMaw Sands
Once Levi wakes up and eats breakfast he gets to meet Caleb's wife, Peaches, and they learn things about each other. Then after a while Peaches tells Levi to walk around outside and go look at the creek and stuff. On the way he meets a creepy stalking women named MawMaw Sands. She seems to be this wise old lady that knows everything about Levi and his family. -
Baby Victory
After a little while of Levi staying with Caleb and Peaches, Peaches has a baby. They were in a church service right in the middle of praying when Peache's had her baby. They named her victory because their church was named Lady victory and she had the baby in that church. -
Blackout Jump
Levi had been living with Cal and his family for about 3 months when Cal recieved a letter from the army. The army wanted Cal back. So His family, including Levi, and him did what you would call a black out jump. That's where you just do something without planning or thinking about it. They packed all their stuff and got on a train to oregon, where the army wanted him. Didn't think about or plan anything, just went. -
Seeing His father at last
Once Cal, levi, Peaches and victory got to oregon after a six day train ride they found out that that's where Levi's father was. They swam, played poker, fished, biked, ate and everything else you could think of together. -
First Mission
Today was Levi's father's first mission. They had to stop a fire over by the mountains. They got back with no one injured or dead. -
Why?
There was a mission and someone died. It wasn't just someone it was young jonny. He was everyones favorite. He was the one who could catch a fish with his bar hands, the one who would joke around all the time, and the one who took csre of me when everyone else was laughing. -
My choice
On this day my father was done with his secret mission and gave me a choice on whether i wanted to go with him back to camp makerel or go to aunt Odelles house in chicogo. Of course i chose going with my father.
