Introduction

  • Explaining who I am

My name is Trevon Bolin-Hitchens I am from Waverly, Ohio. I am currently a coach at Waverly Junior high and high school. I coach quarterbacks, I played that when I was in school. I graduated from Waverly in 2013 and got a scholarship to play football at West Virginia State. I left after the first couple weeks, and went to OUC. I am now here at Shawnee State and my major is Intervention Specialist.
  • Birth

I was born right here in Portsmouth, Ohio at 21 inches and 9.2 lbs.
  • First time being around football

Football is something that might just be a game to some people but to me it was everything. I did not have a dad growing up, and my grandpa was my father figure growing up. I would always go to practices with him. He was the Waverly High school head coach until 2001. I am not really sure when he started to be completely honest. Just being around him and the players was awesome to me, and made me love the game of football.
  • Parents marriage

My grandpa was my father figure until this day. This is the day my mom married someone that would step up and be my father forever. It could not be easy raising a kid that is not even yours but this man stepped up and made me who I am today. They are not together anymore but they are friends if that makes sense. He still cares for me as his own.
  • Passing of my grandpa

Some may ask why I put this into my timeline, and I did because of the role model my grandpa was to me. I am what I am today because of how he raised and taught me. I am pretty much following in his footsteps slowly but I am sure I will not be as good as he was. If i can just be half of what he was to everyone I will be happy.
  • Graduation from high school

I graduated from Waverly high school witha 3.5 GPA. This is something special to me because I use to be in the IEP classes and I overcame that with hard work. Now I am trying to graduate college and help kids that have a problem with learning.
  • Started Coaching

I started coaching at Waverly just this year, and I am loving it. I never could get enough time to be able to coach but this year I was lucky enough to start doing what I have always wanted to do. It is a joy to teach the game of football, but also know these kids can take that to life as well.
  • This Class

In this class I hope to learn things that will help me be the best teacher that I can be in the future. This is my passion so I want to be the best I can be at being a teacher. I hope to gain a better understanding of how to teach certain things to a certain group of students.
