    Aristotle is a popular figure in ancient Greek philosophy, making contributions to logic, metaphysics, mathematics, physics, biology, botany, ethic, politics, agriculture, medicine, dance and theatre. He was a student of the popular philosopher Plato who then studied under Socrates. I chose Aristotle because he one of the three most important philosophers and I personally wanted to know more about him. He is important because he works with all the sciences and we use them on a day to day basis.

It dealt with a wide variety of subjects, which include political philosophy, ethics, metaphysics, ontology, logic, biology, rhetoric, and aesthetics. It is important because it focuses on the ethics and politics of the world. Two very important philosophers are Plato and Aristotle. I chose it because we use ethics everyday.

It is important to the humanities because this is a major type of religion and is important to the Social Sciences. Religion is a major source of inspiration, meaning, and in human culture.

    Roman Catholicism is a worldwide religious tradition. It traces its history of Jesus of Nazareth, an itinerant preacher in the area around Jerusalem during the period of Roman occupation, in the early 30s of the Common Era. Church. It stands under the authority of the bishop of Rome, the pope, and is led by him and bishops who are held to be, through ordination, successors of Peter and the apostles. I chose this religion because it is yet another popular religion, also I didn't know much about.

    Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare. This tragedy is about two young lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. This is a very popular play and book. It is important to the humanities because it shows that even if two people are in love thy are willing to do anything to be with each other. I chose this literature because it is popular and also shows great value to those who are in love but can't be together. Its important because it shows true love.

This painting is composed of vertical pattern impasto strokes. The skin is composed of yellow and green tones. The artist is trying to show that they are physically and mentally hurt. I chose this piece of art work because some people can relate to this image. Its important because it shows tragedy and strength.

This painting is composed of the colors orange, blue, and green swirling together. The main focus of this painting is a figure of a man screaming. To me it felt like the man was trapped and all he could do was yell. I say this because of the dark colors that have been used on this painting.I chose this art work because sometimes in life you just need to scream

    Literature: The Great Gatsby
    The Great Gatsby is tales of the Jazz Age which is a collection of 1 short stories by Scott Fitzgerald. The Great Gatsby is a story which is told by Nick Carraway, who happened to be Gatsby's neighbor. The author is trying to accomplish that even if someone is "above" you that you can all still be friends. It is important to the humanities because it shows how two different worlds can collide together and be perfectly okay. I chose this book because I have read it before and really enjoyed it.

    World War II, was a global war that lasted from 1939 to 1945. The Second World War was the most widespread and deadliest was in history today. This war involved over 30 countries and resulting in more than 50 million military and civilian deaths. The war was started by Adolf Hitler's invasion of Poland in 1939.     American astronauts Neil Armstong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin became the first humans to ever land on the moon. After about 6 and a half hours later, Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon. This mission occurred 8 years after President John Kennedy announced that a man would be landing on the moon at the end of the 1960s. This mission was important to science because they wanted to know whats beyond earth. I enjoyed researching this important history event.

    The Lion King is a musical that is based on the 1994 Disney animated film. The story is about a young cub named Simba who looks up to his father (Mufasa) as King. But Mufasas's brother (Scar) kills him so he can become king. The author is trying to show that sometimes family can betray you and hurt you in ways that we didn't think was possible. It is important in the humanities because not everyone is who they say they are.

    What is the Wicked? Wicked is the untold story of the Witches of Oz which is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and the book by Winnie Holzman. The authors message is to show that their are good and bad in the world. I chose this art because it is a popular performance and everyone knows the story. I think it is an important part of humanities because it shows how people act towards others and that their are different people in the world.
