Birth
Gordon Winstead has arrived!
height: 19.5 inches
weight: 7.25 pounds
He startles at any loud sound, and his mouthing and grasping reflexes are completely normal.
Milestones -
Six Months
Gordon loves to sit up by himself. He also has decided that he likes to make loud sounds with his toy instruments. His babbles are becoming more purposeful, and just yesterday, he said "DaDa" for the first time. We do have to be careful with leaving him alone for too long; everything he finds goes right into his mouth (sensorimotor stage). One Year Old
Gordon is trying to walk everywhere. I can barely keep up with those little legs. He's pretty fearless (even though he needs a little stability sometimes). One of his favorite things to do is to read his books with me. He particularly loves A Very Hungry Caterpillar. He can point with his index finger at the different foods.

Two Years Old
If I hear "I do it" one more time, I may have to reread Erik Erikson's theories about socio-emotional development! Gordon is developing some autonomy, but potty training may put us both under! I know that I need to encourage his independence, though. I don't want him to struggle with feelings of shame and doubt when he has an accident. On another note, he loves to tiptoe through the house, but he no longer has any troubles with object permanence. The other day, I heard him talking to an
