Kaumualiʻi was popular both among his people and foreigners who visited and worked on his islands.Kaumualiʻi decided to negotiate a peaceful resolution rather than resort to bloodshed. After that they had a war. But Liholiho won the Battle. After Kapu shut down some Hawaiians got mad about Kapu. They still belive the gods still some of the Hawaiians gone into Hiding. Also there ware some chiefs got angry about the Kapu System, then the poupution got so low because there were some sickness around Hawaii.
