Francisco Pizarro grew up in Trujillo, Spain. His father, Gonzalo, was a colonel in the Spanish army. His mother, Francisca, was a poor woman living in Trujillo. Francisco grew up with not a lot of reading or writing so he never learned how to read or write.

He was the second oldest out of 7 kids. There ages are between 1446-1511. He had 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Only two of them are really known and can be traced back. Their names are Gonzalo which is his half brother and Hernando which is is full brother.

Francisco made his first trip across the sea to the “New world” in November 1524. When Francisco came back he had nothing. In November 1526, 2 years later he went back across and came back in late 1527.

Death

Francisco was assassinated on June 26, 1541 at the age of 66. he was assassinated in Lima, Peru by his partner, Diego De Almargo. Diego captured and killed Francisco.
