The first crusades
The first crusade better known as "The People's Crusade" was a war blessed by the pope. The first crusade was thought to be Freeing the Holy Lands. This war was led by Count Raymond.The first crusades lasted from 1096 to about 1099. There where many crusades to follow and this was because they were fighting for chrisitanity. This event is very important because the first crusade beat Jerusalem and Jerusalem is said to be where Jesus died and then was resurrected. -

100 year war
The one hundred year war was a series of separate conflicts or wars from 1337 to 1453 between the Kingdom of England and the Kingdom of France. The wars were dvided into three or four phases, the Edwardian War (1337–1360); the Caroline War (1369–1389); the Lancastrian War (1415–1453). The one hundred year was was an important even in history because the war gave ideas of French and English nationalism and also gave militarily ideas for new weapons and tactics. -

Black Death
The Black Death was thought to be one of the most devastating pandemics in history, reaching Europe in1346. Starting in china traveling along the silk road reaching Crimea. Rats, fleas and Yersinia pestis bacterium were responsible for this deadly disease. This disease decreased population by 30 to 60% and it took over 150 years to fade away from Europe. This event is important because by the decrease in population it allowed people in the later years to live easier and better. -

A printing press is a device for applying pressure to an inked surface like cloth or paper. This is typically used for texts, this revolutionized the way people show and describe the world they live in.The printing press was first used in the Renaissance time period by tGutenberg around 1440. Gutenberg, developed a complete printing system, which perfected the printing process. This even is important because it was the start of the way we type and write now a days. -

The mona lisa is a half-length portrait of a woman by the Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci, this painting is known to be he most visited, the most written about, the most sung about art in the world. The painting was thought to be a portrait of Lisa Gherardini, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo and is believed to have been painted between 1503 and 1506. This is important because this painting was important in the reniassance time period and still is important to this day. -
French Revolution
The French Revolution was a period of social and political upheave in France that had a major impact on France and Europe.The absolute monarchy that had ruled France fell apart in three years and france started to revolt. After that french society went down hill, religious privileges died out and external threats also played a role in the development of the Revolution. The french revolution went on until 1799. This was important because it changed the structure of society. -
World War 1
World War 1 was also called the World War centred in Europe that began on July 28, 1914 and lasted until November 11, 1918. The war consisted of two sides that were assembled in two opposing alliances: the Allies and the Central Powers.With more than 70 million people this was one of the largest wars in history. and more than 9 million combatants were killed. This event in history is important because of the great technological advances in firepower it had made. -
The Berlin Wall
The berlin wall was started in 1959 and finished in 1961. It was a barrier constructed by the German Democratic Republic which completely cut off West Berlin from East Germany and from East Berlin.The barrier included guard towers and anti-vehicle trenches.The Berlin Wall was referred to as the Anti-Fascist Protection Rampart implying that West Germany had not been fully de-Nazified. This event was important because it prevented emmigration which made the numbers of emmigration decrease. -

The middle ages or better known as the dark ags was a battle of hasting and norman conquest. It was a peroid between the decline of the roman empire and the renaissance. Starting at the year 418 and ending around 1580. This was an important event in history because people in the middle ages began to make major advances in technologies that were in thier era. -
Charlemagne
Charlemagne was King of the Franks in 768 and Emperor of the Romans from 800 to his death in 814. He is famous because he expanded the Frankish kingdom into an empire that incorporated Western and Central Europe.Also he conquered Italy and was crowned Imperator Augustus by Pope Leo III on 25 December 800 in Rome. He is important because he had a lot to do with the fall of the roman empire which was a huge event in historty.
