    Trust vs. Mistrust
    A toddler sucks on his pacifier in his crib. The toddler also enjoys biting down on it and pulling on it seeing how strong his bite is and how hard he can pull it. The toddler does this fun game over and over. Until, on one pull the pacifier reaches its limit and snaps and pops on him. Causing him to get hurt and scream and cry. His mother rushes into his room to see what is happening and comfort him. Leading him to trust that his mother will be there for him when bad things happen to him.
  • Industry vs. Inferiority

    Industry vs. Inferiority
    A father gives his children $10 each while food shopping to do their own food shopping. Fostering independence and responsibility. The children shop separate from their father looking for food they want for their next meal while staying in their $10 budget. The children must make tough decisions of two foods that they want, but don't come in under the $10 leading them to make a difficult decision on what to feed themselves and the confidence to make their own decisions.
  • Generativity vs. Stagnation

    Generativity vs. Stagnation
    A man gets out of the military at 29 feeling unfulfilled and bored. He takes a year off to try and decide what he wants to do next. Instead this leads to him questioning his purpose and life and feeling unimportant not contributing to society. Feeling stagnant and lost he uses his GI Bill to go back to college to pursue a degree in the medical field to help people and try and make a positive impact on the world as much as he can.
