Jonathan Harker is sent to the Count Dracula's castle
Jonathan Harker is a lawyer who works in the law firm of Peter Hawkins. His boss has sent him to Transylvania to talk to Count Dracula about a house he will buy in London. Mr Hawkins has never seen him in person. When he returns he will marry Mina. During this time he writes a diary. On his way to the castle he was aware that the people were scared of it. -
Three women try to bite Jonathan
Dracula warns Jonathan only to sleep in his room but Jonathan falls asleep in another room during the night. He wakes up and sees three women who have no shadow and pointy teeth. One of them tries to bite him, but Dracula comes to the room and tells them that he is his and when he is finished with him, Jonathan would be theirs.
Strange things obviously happen and Jonathan's life is in danger. -
Jonathan finds Count Dracula laying in a box
Jonathan wants to escape from the castle so he plans to find the key for the main door. He climbs into Dracula’s room and, although he didn’t find the key, he noticed a small door at the corner of the room. He entered and found some boxes. In one of them Dracula is lying with his eyes open. He returns to his room and, that night he hears that it would be his last day so he tries to kill Dracula.
Jonathan realises that Dracula is not human. -
A Russian ship crashes against the rocks.
There is a terrible storm in Whitby and a Russian ship crashes against the rocks. The dead body of the captain is tied to the ship’s wheel. In his pocket there was a note saying that a pale man kept appearing in the ship. Some sailors started to die. The last survivor was the captain and the 1st officer who ended throwing himself into the sea. The ship was full of wooden boxes that were the same ones as Dracula’s and were sent to S F Billington, the man Dracula used to write letters. -
Mina finds two red marks on Lucy's neck
The night of the funeral of the dead sailor, Lucy went out and Mina followed her. Mina found Lucy at the seat in the grave and Mina could see a figure with red eyes. Then in the morning Mina noticed that Lucy had two red marks on her neck and that her friend was behaving strangely.
Lucy was bitten by Dracula and starts to get ill. -
Lucy's death
After giving her a few blood transfusions, hanging garlic flowers all over her room (because the Doctor Van Helsing thought she might be turning into a vampire) and having been taken care after by Arthur, Quincey, Van Helsing and Seward, Lucy dies. Before dying, she asks Arthur for a kiss, but Van Helsing stopped it from happening just in time. Arthur did not understand why he did that but he trusted the doctor. But little did they know her death would not end there. -
Jonathan's reencounter with the Count
After Mr. Hawking’s funeral near London, Jonathan Harker and Mina see a young woman sitting on a bench alone. Suddenly, Jonathan sees something between the shadows and the fog: the Count Dracula. He looked younger, but Jonathan was sure of what he saw. Harker had a panic attack and told his wife what he had seen. At that point Mina did not know if he was crazy nor if to believe him.
This leads Mina to read Jonathan’s diary. -
Mina reads Jonathan's diary
Mina Harker finally decides to read her husband’s diary to know exactly what he had been through in the Count’s castle that broke him so much to try to understand and help him.
After receiving a letter from Van Helsing to try to figure out if Mina knew anything that could have led Lucy to her death, she tells him about what happened to her husband and he immediately finds a connection with Lucy’s death.
This meeting between Mina and Van Helsing will bring the group together. -
Children have been found with two marks on the neck
There has been a strange thing happening: children have been disappearing at night and then appearing with two marks on their neck. Also, they all tell the same story: a very beautiful woman asks them to join her for a walk.
This makes Van Helsing think that the poor children might have been bitten by a vampire, but not any vampire: it must be Lucy. -
Lucy's un-death
At first it’s a bit hard to believe for the others and specially Arthur, that Lucy has become un-dead. But Van Helsing manages to prove it to the others: they hide near Lucy’s grave and they see her dropping a child after sucking his blood from the neck.
The next morning the men decide to go to end with Lucy once and for all. Arthur stabes her with a wooden stake and then gave her a kiss. Lucy looked very peaceful in her coffin. -
29 boxes out of 50 are found
The trouble is not over yet! Dracula is still out converting people and drinking blood. To stop him, they try to find and destroy all of the 50 boxes of dirt from his country that he uses to regenerate himself. Harker knows that Dracula had bought a house near Seward’s mental health hospital. They manage to get in using one of Seward’s hospital keys and find there 29 boxes. In each one of them they put a piece of Hoste to make them useless for the Count. -
Dracula attacks again
Renfield is found on the floor badly beaten after letting Dracula enter the room and he ends up dying. The second victim were the Harkers. The four men found Jonathan lying on the bed while Mina was on her knees beside the vampire. He made Mina drink his blood, then he run away. -
Dracula's escape
All the men go to the different houses Dracula has in London to put Host in the boxes. They had to call a locksmith to open the door of his house in Piccadilly. They only find 8 out of the 9 boxes that should be there. Then, Arthur and Quincey go to the two other houses Dracula has to do the same. Meanwhile, Dr. Van Helsing and Dr. John Seward wait in Picadilly's house and suddenly Dracula arrives, picks some money up and escapes. -
Mina is hypnotised
Mina wanted to help and came up with a brilliant idea: they could hypnotize her to know where the Count is. Van Helsing hypnotises Mina and they find that Dracula is located in a ship trying to escape with the last box he had. A day after, they discover the ship's name is "Queen Catherine", which was going to Varna. -
Chasing after Dracula
After staying in Varna for a few days the group figured out that Dracula had discovered their plans through Mina and had change the ship's route. They have to travel to Galatz, to catch the Count with no success. He was already going to his castle with the Slovaks' help. They divided the group into three to catch the vampire. -
Reaching the Count's castle
Mina and Van Helsing have an encounter with the three vampire women, who try to persuade Mina to join them. Mina's symptoms are much worse but she is resisting them.
Jonathan and Holmwood have an incident with the boat and end up continuing their route by horse. -
Final encounter with Count Dracula.
Van Helsing leaves Mina behind and goes in the castle to kill the women and put a piece of Hoste in Dracula's grave. The Slovaks continue their way throughout the land. Later that night, all the groups met the Slovaks and stop them. They kill Count Dracula but Quincey Morris dies too. Mina finally goes back to normal.
