Watson and Crick
Watson found DNA while looking at x-ray photos. Then he started to study protein x-ray diffraction. He and Francis Crick developed a three-stranded helix. In the Three stranded helix, the base rings were located on the outside of the molecule, and the phosphate groups were found on the inside. The only flaw was that there wasn’t enough space to fit the left over negatively charged phosphates into the DNA without it exploding. -
