Medicaid helped low income people of all ages with hospital bills. The importance is that older people paid more than young people for health insurance, and Medicaid was the largest source of funding for low income people. It impacted american society because older adults paid more for health insurance.

People also had to relocate where they live and also schools.

This event impacted american society because about 2 million people lost their job. They also had no money to support their families, and couldn't take out loans.
