The United Nations jobs are to solve disputes, help with disease and hunger in developing countries, improve education, and provide vaccines. The event takes place in New York City and started in 1945. The event is important to history because they have kept peace in Europe for 72 years. The United Nations impacted economy because it helps third world countries with their economy and schooling. -

The United States was involved in the baby boom. The baby boom was when husbands came back from WWII and the great depression was over so it was cheap enough to start a family. There were millions of babies born from 1945-1955. This happened in the United States of America. Rosa Parks, a white bus driver, a white passenger, and a policeman were involved in this event. White passengers get on the bus. Rosa Parks refuses to give her seat up and move to the back of the bus where there is no room. She is yelled at by the bus driver and then arrested for violating segregation laws. Cuba, US, and The USSR, we're involved in this event. The USSR put missiles in Cuba that were capable of hitting the US. A U2 spy plane took pictures of the missile sites. We stopped anymore missiles from going to Cuba, we took our missiles out of Turkey, and the USSR took theirs out of Cuba. The event was important to history because it was the closest the world has ever been to full scale nuclear war. The Cuban Missile Crisis affected society because the public was terrified of getting nuked. -

Nixon and 5 other guys were involved in this event. Nixon hired 5 guys to break into the democratic headquarters at watergate. They were caught because they left the door slightly ajar. The event took place in Washington D.C. in the Watergate building on June 17, 1972. The event was important to history because it caused the only time a U.S. President has resigned from office. Watergate affected politics because it brought a new president into office. The new president was Gerald Ford. -

Christa McAuliffe, NASA, and the crew of challenger was involved in this event. The challenger shuttle was carrying the first civilian to space, Christa McAuliffe. The shuttle exploded 74 seconds after takeoff on live TV. The event took place in Cape Canaveral, Florida on January 28, 1986. The event was important because it was the first time we had ever tried to send a civilian to space. The Challenger explosion affected society because millions of people watched it explode on TV. -
