    This is what initiated the 30-year war. Ferdinand sent nobles to tell the protestants in Prague that they had to turn catholic. They didn't respond very well to this and decided to throw the nobles out the window. The action of throwing someone out the window is also known as defenestration. There for the defenestration of Prague.

    On 1648 peace finally came to all the countries in the 30-year war. No one won this war since it left many of these countries devastated but the countries that won most land was France. France one land on its spanish frontier and its German frontier.

    After Charles VI dies some nobles forget the promise they did to him and go to war. So she found another way to be a ruler. She got married and made her husband the emperor. Even though his husband was emperor she was the one that decided what to do.

    On 1740 Frederick son becomes king of Prussia. He was a brilliant military leader and used his power to unify Prussia. He even beat Maria theresas army twice.
