2600 B.C. The pyramids of Giza were important to the Egyptians because the Pharaoh and their Queens needed tombs. These pyramids are important to us because this lets us know more about the Egyptians. This was during the 4th dynasty.This was mainly built for the Pharaoh Kufu. This pyramid is approximatley 147 meters high and its weight is about 6,500,000 tonnes. -
