Earl Little Malcolm's father was person who left a great impact on him. His father was an active recruiter for the universal negro improvement association, a milant black nationalist organization founded by Marcus Gravey. -
Birth
Malcolm Little was born on May 19 , 1925 in Omaha Nebraska. The fourth child of Earl and Lousie Little's eight children, he entered a world of violence and fear because just about a few weeks before he was born the Ku Klux Klan paid a vist to the Little's home. The Ku Klux Klan was the most notrious supermastict white group. -
Challenge Faced
In 1929 Malcolm was about four his home was sent of fire by the night riders. The night riders crept up and set the home on fire, Malcolm and hs siblings ran out with their mom and dad. It was a nightmarish scene that beacme vividly implanted in Malcolm's memory. The night riders did not stop from there because there are one of the suspects to murder Malcolm's father. This hurt the family because Louise (Malcolm's mom) got depressed and had to go to a mental hospital for the next 26 years. -
Challenge Faced
At the age of thirteen Malcolm was sent to a juvienile center because he was doing crminal acts like steeling. But before that Malcolm dropped out of school in the eighth grade! Which led into more trouble he got involved in drugs, drinking, and gambling. Malcolm lost his first job because of drugs. But even worse that made him go to prison. -
Date In History
World War II was going on when Malcolm was still alive when he was sent to fight but returned because he was not fit to fight the war. The two countries that were battling were the U.S.A and Japan. -
Achievement
In 1948 the year Malcolm went to prison he met a old prisoner name Bimbi. Bimbi told Malcolm that he went to the prison's library and educated himself instead of wasting his time. So Malcolm took this man's adivice and attended prison classes and taught himself how to read and write. Which he says made him a better person and he is thankful he met Bimbi. -
Achievement
While in prison Malcolm's sister and brother visted him and told him about nation of Islam and black muslims. Malcolm learned about this more and more and converted to the nation of Islam and changed his name to Malcolm X. But in 1964 Malcolm went to hajj, Mecca the holy city proved to be the revelation to Malcolm X. He marvleved at the spirt of brotherhood and sense of community. -

Martin Luther King left a big impact on Malcolm but not only him but the world today. He was and always will be a great man -

Malcolm finally learned that the black muslims were wrong so he contverted to the real Islamic religon. He changed his name to El- Hajj El- Shabazz. -
Significant Person
Jomo Kenyatta the leader of Kenya's struggle for independance from Great Britian. He is one of Africa's freedom fighters who inspried Malcolm intrest in revolutionary politics. -
Death
On sunday February 21, 1965 Malcolm X and his adies drove to the Audubon Ballroom for his regular weekly meetings with the harlem community. The hall was about three quaters full when 2:00 pm, he stepped onto the stage to begin the meeting. He faced his aduience and uttered a traditonal muslim greeting, "Asalaikum brother and sisters!" at that moment a man in the front row stood up and shot him with a shot gun the fired into his chest. By the time Malcolm reached the hospital he was dead.
