  • 1984

    Winston, 30 years old and a part of the Party.Begins to write in a diary after he discoveres a corner of his room that is undetectable by the telescreen.
  • Winston's Dream

    Winston begins to have dreams of his mother and sister, realizing the way he had treated her and his behavior was unacceptable. But he knows her death would not have been recorded and if so, it would have been changed by the Party.
  • Diary

    Winston writes in his diary, revealing the details of a night when he had sex with a prole prostitute whose face is thickly painted in makeup. Winston struggles with his internal turmoil surrounding this disdainful act, noting to himself that man's nervous system is his worst enemy.
  • Facecrime

    Winston and a few collegues are discussing things that they do and Party related topics when they are interrupted by announcements from the telescreen. Winston begins to think about all the lies being told and the fate of people in his life. After minutes of gazing he soon comes back into focus only to find the dark-haired girl staring at him who quickly looks away. Winston believes she will report him for facecrime.
  • Proles

    After thinking about an altercation he once observed, he realized that the proles are the only hope to stop the Party's totalitarian power. But as long as they continue to blindly follow, nothing will ever change. (George Orwell, 2013) "Until they become conscious they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot become conscious."
  • The Old Man and the Unknown Revolution

    After work one night, Winston decides to walk the streets of London to clear his head. Even after being warned about the possible "steamer" attack, he goes anyway. After surviving the attack, he wandered to an area that he recognizes, Across the street from the Antique shop he notices an old man enter a pub and follows. He tries asking the old man to think back before the Revolution and to explain anything. But he soon discovers the old man does not have relative information.
  • The Dark Haired Girl

    Winston takes a break at work to use the restroom. As he walks down the hallway, the dark-haired girl falls to the floor and Winston hurriedly helps her up. On the way up she discreetly hands him a piece of paper and instead of immediately opening it he waits at his desk for 5 minutes. Enclosed in the piece of paper were the words "I Love you".
  • 1st Date

    After the encounter in the hallway Julia, the dark-haired girl, continues to find ways to talk to Winston and she devised a plan to meet each other somewhere. After given directions Winston meets up with Julia, she guides him to an area where there was no telescreens. She proceeds to take her clothes off exactly like in a dream that Winston had recently dreamed about. They have sex which was a blow to The Party.
  • Captured

    After quite some time, they have sex once more In the morning after having a short conversation they're interrupted by a telescreen. Troops storm in and smash the paperweight. The troops kick Winston and beat Julia. As the troops restrain Winston, Mr. Charrington enters the room and orders someone to pick up the shards from the shattered paperweight. Winston realizes that Mr. Charrington’s voice was the one coming from the telescreen, and that Mr. Charrington is a member of the Thought Police
  • Winston's Fate

    Winston is taken to the Ministry of Love and is tortured by none other than O'Brien who he thought was a member of the Brotherhood. As O'Brien increases the pain, Winston begins to break and agrees to believe that everything O'Brien wants him to believe is true. He even makes Winston believe that the torture that he is undergoing will cure him. Though the Ministry of Love has broken Winston's mind and will, he envisioned that he would be shot by the Party. And just like that, he was shot anyways
