In 750, Muslim Abbassids created an empire with a capital of Baghdad. Abd-Al Rahman, an Umayyad muslim, created another empire in Spain with Coroda as its Capital, also around 750.
The Fatimid dynasty in Egypt rose at around the 10th century, with Cairo as the capital. All three lasted for about 500 years. -
